With respect to the lighting arrangements, for a kitchen to look smart, it's advised to go for an under-the- cabinet lighting design. This will give a spacious look to the kitchen. The cabinets in the kitchen can be designed in such a way that much needed horizontal space is saved. Cabinets also can be painted in light colors. Another option available is to make use of the hangers inside the cabinets. One can hang the various kitchen utensils and vessels in these hangers. The hangers have to be vertically built and not horizontally built.
